How it works
Tip = bill x tip percent / 100. Total = bill + tip. Divide by the number of people to split the check evenly.
Example: a $60 bill with an 18% tip adds $10.80, so the total is $70.80, or $35.40 each for two people. Tipping customs vary by country and venue, and some places already add a service charge.

How much should I tip?
In the US, 15% to 20% is common in restaurants. Customs differ elsewhere.
Do I tip on the pre-tax bill?
Many people do, but it is your choice.
